Ncaa Women’s Final Four Basketball Tickets – Top Teams Continue Streaks

This year’s field of NCAA Women’s Basketball teams is as hot as ever, and the competition is only getting hotter leading up to the Final Four from April 4 to April 6 in San Antonio, Texas. The Final Four will come after first and second round games from March 20-23 and regionals from March 27-30. As the tournament draws closer, five teams have emerged as favorite to take home the title. Fans of these teams, or just great basketball action, will want to get NCAA Women’s Final Four basketball tickets from StubHub.com.

Connecticut: Anyone who has followed women’s college basketball for any amount of time already knows that the Huskies are perennial favorites. Since 2000, they have taken home five championships, including last year’s. The defending champs are well on their way to another dominant season, with an undefeated 30-0 record after topping No. 6 Notre Dame 76-51 on March 1. The team is led by stars like junior Maya Moore, senior Tina Charles, senior Kalana Greene and sophomore Tiffany Hayes. Charles and Moore have another reason to celebrate, as both were also recently added to the U.S. women’s basketball national team pool. Their addition raises the total of former and current Connecticut players in the pool to 20.

Stanford: Although they aren’t undefeated, the Stanford team isn’t far behind Connecticut with a record of 27-1 following their 75-48 win over Arizona on Feb. 27. Their only loss came at the hands of Connecticut on Dec. 23. The last time Stanford took home a NCAA Championship was back in 1992. With stars like sophomore Nnemkadi Ogwumike, junior Kayla Pedersen, senior Jayne Appel and junior Jeanette Pohlen, the team is poised to make another run at the title this year.

Nebraska: Nebraska joins Connecticut as the only other team with an undefeated record. The Cornhuskers are 28-0 following a 77-52 win over Kansas on March 3. Should the team win against Kansas State on March 6, ESPN reports, the Cornhuskers would be the first team in the Big 12 to finish the regular season with an undefeated record. If they want to do well in the NCAA tournament, they will do so with the help of standouts like senior Kelsey Griffin, senior Cory Montgomery and senior Yvonne Turner.

Tennessee: The Lady Volunteers are another perennial favorite in the NCAA, as they took home the title in 2007 and 2008. Tennessee finished the season 27-2, with their only two losses coming against Georgia and Stanford. Their top stars include sophomore Glory Johnson, redshirt sophomore Kelley Cain, sophomore Shekinna Stricklen and junior Angie Bjorklund.

Xavier: Xavier didn’t have quite the same dominant seasons as some of the other teams in the top five, but with a record of 24-3 they have enough talent not to be counted out of the running for the title.  They haven’t lost a game since Dec. 30. The Musketeers have a lineup full of stars like redshirt junior Amber Harris, junior Ta’Shia Phillips, freshman Katie Rutan and senior April Phillips.
