Samsung S3500 Pink – Reveals toughness in pink

Lately Pink mobile phones have been in great demand with every maker of mobile phones coming out with Pink versions for their devices to attract more buyers. The craze is such that Pink mobile phones are available in a variety of hues- baby pink, bubblegum pink, rose pink, lavender pink and so on. It is often suggested that females prefer the colour pink because of their liking for reddish things like ripe fruits etc. None the less the colour is slowly getting acceptable by an average metro-sexual man with a delicate sense of style. Samsung S3500 is one of the devices from Samsung that is available in pink colour and was released earlier this year in the month of May. It’s pricing shows that it’s available in the lower end of the mid-range segment. It takes much of it’s design from the Samsung Soul but lacks the Soul’s touchpad. None the less the Samsung S3500 Pink offers a lot more for it’s price.

This device is a quad-band GSM phone and comes in a distinctly good looking slide design. It is a good light weight phone with a weight of just 95 grams and is very compact. It comes in a sturdy built with a scratch resistive stainless steel casing. The display of the phone consists of a 2.2 inches QVGA screen of 16m colours. Although it’s not a 3G phone , it comes loaded with Class10 GPRS ans Class10 EDGE. Using the built-in WAP 2.0/xHTML, HTML web browser, one can access the internet. The phone comes with an internal memory of 40MB which can be expanded up to 8GB by using microSD cards which is a lot for a sizeable music collection. There are some modest security features in the phone like a mobile tracker application that can trace back the phone once it’s stolen. There is also a distress call feature with an SOS call function and also a fake call feature that generates a fake call on pressing a specified key. These make the phone a very special personal safety tool which is being expected to appeal in the market.

The Samsung S3500 Pink is also equipped with a modest 2 mega pixel camera but there is no flash provided. It comes with a multi-shot and digital stabilisation feature and is capable of capturing videos @15fps in the QVGA mode. The included music player in the handset can playback MP3, AAC and WMA file formats while keeping a track of the most played tracks. The Built-in Bluetooth allows the streaming of stereo sound to be played via external speakers. Moreover the phone is also equipped with a stereo FM radio with RDS and broadcast recording. Over all, even though the Samsung S3500 Pink lacks a few goodies to attract more buyers it gives good value for money.
