Why is the color of darkness is black when no light is there to paint a picture?

Color black color is formed by the combination. In the darkness is no light to form a black color. So, how color is black.

Black is your interpretation of the brain is no light in your eyes. Black as a "light" is the absence of color, except as a pigment. A black pigment absorbs all colors. The term "black light" is misleading, It is a slang term for a UV light source that emits the tail end of the visible and violet.
