What pants go with a black button-up shirt.?

I’m going to an award ceremony I have a black button-up shirt and a red tie, what color pants should I wear, they have to be dressy so no jeans.
thank you to these first three thats what i said but my mom said it won’t look good, but I looked in the mirror and it looked pretty good.

well, black dress pants are the way to go i’d say.
